Training Programs

Our center is dedicated to providing early-career scientists with the cross-disciplinary training necessary to meaningfully contribute to the fields of regenerative medicine and stem cell research.

We offer a continuum of training opportunities for UCLA undergraduate and graduate students, post-doctoral scholars and clinical fellows. We also host year-long paid internships for undergraduate students from Cal State Northridge.

These programs provide hands-on research experience in the labs of leading stem cell center faculty and complementary training in translating basic research findings to the clinic, patient and community outreach and science communications.

Broad Stem Cell Research Center Training Program

Open to UCLA graduate students, post-doctoral scholars and clinical fellows whose research intersects with stem cell science.

Creating Opportunities through Mentorship and Partnership Across Stem Cell Science (COMPASS) Program

Provides education about and training in stem cell research to UCLA undergraduate students from backgrounds that are historically underrepresented in the biomedical sciences.

CSUN-UCLA Stem Cell Scientist Training Program

Year-long internship program providing Cal State Northridge undergraduate students with practical laboratory training in stem cell biology and mentored guidance in UCLA research labs.
