Noah Federman, M.D., has dedicated his career to conducting translational research and identifying new therapies for children, adolescents and young adults with advanced sarcomas. As director of the UCLA Alpha Clinic, he leads a team that works to deliver cutting-edge cell and gene therapies to patients in a safe, equitable and efficient manner.

The UCLA Alpha Clinic provides the infrastructure and expertise necessary to accelerate the development of novel therapies and bring these potentially life-saving treatments to patients through rigorously regulated clinical trials. It is one of nine sites that together comprise the CIRM Alpha Clinics Network, the goal of which is to advance clinical research and ensure that patients throughout California have access to and can benefit from innovative treatments.

In addition to treating individuals with advanced sarcomas, Federman specializes in conducting precision oncology clinical trials for patients with refractory, recurrent and metastatic bone and soft tissue cancers. He has been the principal investigator on several seminal/registrational clinical trials — one of which resulted in the FDA approval of Larotrectinib in children and adults with NTRK fusion cancers.
