Microscopy Core

The Microscopy Core is a collaboration of the BSCRC and the Department of Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology (MCDB). The Core's mission is to promote interdisciplinary and collaborative research within the UCLA research community.

The Core provides state-of-the-art, high resolution technologies for imaging and analyzing the molecular and structural organization of cells and tissue as well as bioengineered materials.  The technologies include confocal, wide-field fluorescence, live-cell, and super-resolution imaging as well as software for image analysis. Training is required prior to receiving access to the Core's microscopes and imaging workstations. 

The Microscopy Core is organized into four interdependent imaging labs:
