CIRM Bridges Grant

Starting in July 2010, BSCRC faculty began sponsoring 10 star students from California State University Northridge (CSUN) into their research laboratories in order to train undergraduate and graduate students for research careers in stem cell biology. The selected students are members of the CSUN-UCLA Bridges to Stem Cell Program funded by a $1.6 million CIRM grant. The full-time immersion internships allow students to conduct independent research under the guidance of esteemed BSCRC scientists who are leaders in the field of stem cell and regenerative medicine. Students will also participate in semester length courses advancing their knowledge of high-tech laboratory skills and regenerative medicine.
